The device for online diagnostics and monitoring of partial discharges produced by Techimp (Italy) is designed to diagnose the insulation condition of electrical equipment of a substation without taking it out of operation. ALFA is used on cable lines, electric generators and motors, power and instrument transformers, switchgear, as well as for assessing contamination of power lines.

The key difference between ALFA and other PD diagnostic devices produced by Techimp is the licensed operating system. It implies that the device operators only carry out the connection and initial configuration of the device. Information is collected automatically by the device. Assessment and diagnosis of the condition of the equipment under test is carried out by Techimp specialists using the latest technologies, including the patented TF-Map technology.

Unlike traditional PD assessment methods, Techimp TF-Map technology allows you to divide received signals into groups for more convenient analysis and thus accurately determine the type and source of the desired PD signal, even in the presence of strong interference.
