Multifunctional mobile system for searching for damage to power cables of all types of insulation using modern non-burning methodsThe CableScan-40 mobile system is designed to determine the location of faults in cables using non-burning methods (TDR, ARC, DECAY). It provides fast, accurate, gentle preliminary and accurate detection of all high-impedance faults in power cables.
The system integrates a reflectometer, a megohmmeter, a high-voltage installation, a high-voltage pulse generator, and communication sensors for the implementation of modern gentle methods of weapons of mass destruction: pulse-arc and oscillatory methods for current and voltage. Most damage to cable lines is detected using the non-burning method. In this case, all three elements of the installation are used: a reflectometer, a high-voltage installation and a communication sensor, both in preliminary and in precise search.
The system can be equipped with GVI-40 high-voltage pulse generators with three stages 10kV/20kV/40kV (8/16/32kV available) and a choice of pulse strength: 1000J, 2000J and 3000J. GVI-40 have an automatic pulse voltage mode and allow you to use the CableScan-40 system for accurate searches using the acoustic method.
The system allows producing OMP of power cables with different types of insulation (oil-paper, cross-linked polyethylene, plastic insulation, etc.) and different types of damage (low- and high-resistance damage, breaks, short circuits, intermittent breakdowns, etc.).
The CableScan-40 system has an intuitive interface. The combination of control elements allows a specialist to work with the installation according to the instructions supplied with the device, and does not require special training. Control combines electronic and manual methods: software, touch display, industrial keyboard, track ball for simple and convenient navigation.
Three modes of operation of the CableScan-40 system are possible: stationary installation, installation in a mobile laboratory, use in a mobile version on a steel frame with wheels. The unit can be installed in cars with an all-metal body with a load capacity of 200 kg.
The connection to the power supply is carried out with a high-voltage insulated cable (possible length 10 / 20 / 30 / 50 meters) through the connection block. It is possible to connect external devices to the system, for example, an audio frequency generator or a 2.5 kV megohmmeter.
