The IntelliSAW monitoring system is an ideal solution for continuous, real-time monitoring of potential hot spots in medium voltage equipment (e.g. busbars and conductors, breaker contacts and cables).
The family of low voltage temperature sensors are reinforced insulated to IEC 61010-1 for voltages up to 1000 VAC Category III or up to 600 VAC Category IV, making the design suitable and electrically isolated for almost all low voltage systems.
IntelliSAW low-voltage temperature sensors provide monitoring data based on physical contact with potential live hot spots while providing electrical isolation through the use of built-in wireless Integrated Near-Field Coupling (iNFCTM) technology.
Sensors of various shapes have been developed for installation on various types of equipment.
CC-E sensors are designed for 3-phase molded case switches and contain three separate temperature sensors, one for each contact.
The CC-TC and CC-WC sensors are designed to monitor a single point by attaching directly to the busbar, and they can be connected in series to monitor multiple hard-to-reach locations.
CC-CT sensors are designed for installation between double cable connections from a busbar trunking.
