FRIDA high-voltage VLF installation - BAUR
High-voltage installation for testing 6-10 kV cables with cross-linked polyethylene insulation with voltages up to 34 kV at an ultra-low frequency of 0.1 Hz.The high-voltage portable VLF installation FRIDA is designed for:
- testing cables with cross-linked polyethylene insulation 6/10 kV with alternating voltage with a frequency of 0.1 Hz
- testing cables with oil-paper insulation with direct voltage up to 34 kV
- testing cable sheaths with direct voltage up to 10 kV
- searching for damage to the cable sheath using the step voltage method in conjunction with a galvanometer
The installation is easy to operate: portable and easy to connect. Tests can be carried out manually or fully automatically. The navigation menu on the built-in display is intuitive and fully Russified.
The functionality of the installation can be expanded by adding a diagnostic function for cable lines by measuring the dielectric loss tangent and measuring partial discharges in cables. Diagnostics allows you to assess the condition of cable lines with the identification of weak points and areas. It also becomes possible to use the MWT (Full Monitored Withstand Test) mode, which allows you to reduce cable testing time by simultaneously measuring loss tangent and partial discharges, thereby reducing the time stress on the cable with increased voltage.
Functional features of FRIDA:
- TrueSinus technology – pure sine wave regardless of load
- Compact, lightweight, weight - 19 kg
- Maximum insulation capacitance up to 10 µF
- Fully automated, programmable test sequence
- Data transfer and storage via USB interface
- Short circuit protection
- Diagnostic Reporter – application for processing and evaluating test reports
- Included in the State Register of Measuring Instruments of the Russian Federation
