GVI-36M Portable high-voltage pulse generator - GC "Energoscan"
Designed to accurately determine the location of cable damage (OMP) using the acoustic method and determine the breakdown voltage of the damage. Also, complete with a reflectometer and connecting devices, GVI-36M allows you to carry out preliminary OMP of the cable using non-burning methods: pulse-arc and oscillatory current charging.Peculiarities
- portable design in a shockproof case
- output voltage up to 36 kV
- pulse power up to 2000 J
- possibility of implementing non-burning methods
- automatic discharge of accumulated energy
- high-voltage insulated cable for connection
Description
High output voltage (0 – 36 kV) and high pulse power (1000 / 2000 J) make it possible to locate fault locations with various types of faults in low, medium and high voltage cables with different types of insulation.
The generator is housed in a protected plastic case with wheels and a handle for transportation. The small dimensions and weight of the generator make it possible to conveniently transport the device, including to hard-to-reach places: mines, subway tunnels, buildings and places where only snow and swamp-going vehicles can pass.
The voltage regulator allows you to smoothly regulate the charging voltage of the capacitors and provides smooth regulation of the constant voltage. The device also has the function of automatically discharging the accumulated energy of the object after completion of the test.
Generator operating modes
- DC (rectified) voltage output,
- single pulse discharge,
- periodic pulse discharge (frequency 5 seconds).
Description of methods
The acoustic method of precise OMP cable is implemented by combining a high-voltage pulse generator and an acoustic receiver. Allows you to detect damage of various types (“floating breakdowns”, single-phase and interphase damage with different transition resistances, breaks).
The generator produces a pulse voltage with a steep edge, which creates an electrical breakdown of the cable at the point of damage. Electrical breakdown at the site of cable damage is a source of electromagnetic and acoustic waves, which can be detected on the surface of the earth using appropriate receivers.
