iCT1 Automatic current and voltage transformer testing device - I.S.A. - Altanova group

The iCT1 is a portable device designed for testing current, voltage and combination transformers.

Functional Features

  • Designed for testing current, voltage and combined transformers;
  • Time saving: one connection for all tests;
  • Carrying out all basic tests: measuring the transformation ratio and phase angle, taking the current-voltage characteristic, measuring resistance, error and load;
  • Connection of up to 5 current transformer branches;
  • Possibility of measuring the current-voltage characteristics of CTs with saturation voltages up to 2 kV and up to 30 kV using the constant voltage method;
  • Built-in demagnetization system;
  • Function "CT Definition": the ability to determine the passport data of the CT;
  • Lightweight and compact;
  • Patented technology.

The main generator has 5 outputs:
• High AC voltage output;
• Low AC output;
• DC voltage output;
• Low AC voltage output;
• Low voltage output for I-V characteristics using DC method
voltage.

High AC output
• maximum voltage 2 kV (iCT1 Standard);
• maximum current 1 A.

Low AC output
The output current can be adjusted manually from the front panel of the device.
• Imax. 6 A AC;
• Vmax. 100 V AC;
• Maximum power 200 VA.

Low DC output
The output current can be adjusted manually from the front panel of the device.
• Imax. 6 A DC;
• Vmax. 30 V DC;
• Maximum power 180 W.

Low AC output

• Maximum output voltage: 180 V AC;
• Maximum output current: 3.5 A AC;
• Maximum power output:
- Power supply 230 V: 400 VA (at cosφ < 0.225);
- Power supply 110 V: 350 VA (at cosφ < 0.175).

Low voltage output for I-V characteristic using constant voltage method (for iCT1 Advance)
• Maximum output voltage: 200 V DC;
• Maximum output current: 2 A (rms), 15 A (peak).

Output frequency
• Range: 15 - 400 Hz;
• Resolution: 10 MHz;
• Accuracy: 200 V.

Other Features of the Main Generator
• Zero crossing control: parameter generation starts and stops when zero is crossed;
• Alarm message when current is exceeded;
• Thermal protection: if the power circuit, amplifier or transformer overheats, an alarm message is displayed to the operator.
