Principle of operation

Detects a steady electrostatic field induced by an AC voltage through the insulation without the need for contact with a bare conductor. When voltage is present, the handpiece indicator will turn red and an audible signal will sound (if not disabled).

Voltage measurement ranges

Rated ranges: 90 V to 1000 V AC or 200 V to 1000 V AC (depending on model) 45 Hz to 405 Hz; also available for control circuits with a range of 20 V to 90 V
