With the Fluke 561 you can measure surface and ambient temperatures in a way that is optimal for your situation. The IR thermometer allows you to instantly measure the temperature of objects that are heated to a high temperature, are in motion or under electrical voltage, or are difficult to reach. It can be used to check motors, insulation sections, switches, radiant heaters, pipes, corroded connections and wires. In addition, you can measure air ducts and other hard-to-reach objects directly from the floor of the room - you can leave the stepladder in the car. You can use the handy hook-and-loop fabric temperature probe included with the Fluke 561, or any industrial thermocouple probe with mini-K type connector to measure the temperature of superheated surfaces or inside enclosed spaces.
