The STS-4000 TD system is designed for inspection and electrical testing of power transformers, current transformers, voltage transformers, high-voltage circuit breakers, generators, grounding devices and other primary and secondary equipment. The high automation of the STS-4000 device allows you to speed up the testing process and reduce the number of possible errors. Combining the STS-4000 device with additional modules can significantly expand the functionality of the system.STS-4000 TD - a comprehensive testing system for substation equipment manufactured by ISA (Italy) is designed to conduct automatic comprehensive electromagnetic and dielectric tests of power transformers, current transformers (CT) and voltage transformers (VT). The device also allows you to conduct a number of tests of high-voltage switches, relay protection devices, grounding devices and overhead lines.
The difference between the STS-4000 system and the STS-5000 is the absence in the STS-4000 of high-current outputs of 800 A alternating current and 400 A direct current, and, accordingly, the impossibility of conducting a number of CT and VT tests without these outputs.
The operator is required to assemble a measurement scheme, enter the parameters of the test object, tolerances, select the required test and press the test start button. The device automatically carries out the test, generating and measuring all the necessary quantities and recording the results in memory. Test results are stored in local memory and can be transferred to a PC for storage, analysis and report generation.
The STS-4000 device is controlled in two ways:
- without PC: via own controls and large color LCD display,
- using a PC and TDMS software.
TD-5000 is a module used in conjunction with the STS-5000 device to measure the dielectric loss tangent and capacitance of transformers. The module generates voltage up to 12 kV with the ability to change the generation frequency from 1 to 500 Hz. Both units and cables are mounted on a trolley for ease of transportation. The use of unique circuit designs and the ability to test at frequencies other than 50 Hz ensure high accuracy measurements even in the most difficult electromagnetic conditions.

STCS / STCS Plus -Switch | The switch allows the STS 5000 to conduct electromagnetic tests in automatic mode: - STCS: transformation ratio, ohmic resistance of windings, short-circuit resistance, XX current at voltages up to 300 V - STCS Plus: transformation ratio, XX current, ohmic resistance of windings, short-circuit resistance, demagnetization at voltages up to 400 V. Measurements are taken on all three phases of the low and high side of the power transformer. During testing, repeated climbs of personnel onto the transformer for recommutations are not required. Also, the STCS switch can control the operation of the on-load tap-changer and make checks on all branches. |
