Transformer electrical laboratory SCAN-2ME - GC "Energoscan"

The SCAN-2ME electrical laboratory, based on GAZELLE NEXT, is designed for high-voltage testing of substation equipment, as well as a full range of tests of power transformers.

The electrical engineering laboratory SCAN-2ME, based on GAZELLE NEXT, is designed for high-voltage testing of substation equipment, as well as a full range of testing of power transformers.

SCAN-2ME is a replacement for transformer electrical laboratories: ETL-35, Angstrem-2, LP-35, LVI HVT-1, PPU, SURA, PVL-10, etc.

Capabilities of the electrical laboratory SCAN-2ME:

  • Testing of substation equipment and power cables with alternating voltage of industrial frequency 50 Hz up to 100 kV, rectified voltage up to 70 kV.
  • Measurement of insulation resistance, voltage up to 2.5 kV;
  • Measuring transformer parameters:
    • Measurement of capacitance and dielectric loss tangent;
    • Transformation coefficient;
    • Direct current winding resistance;
    • Idling losses;
    • Short circuit losses;
    • Short circuit resistance

Laboratory equipment is conventionally divided into main (mounted) and additional (non-mounted) equipment. The laboratory has a modular structure; instruments, if necessary, operate independently of each other.

The laboratory can be additionally equipped with:

  • Insulation parameter meter Tangent-2000;
  • Transformer parameter meter Coefficient-1.3 (or equivalent);
  • Microohmmeter PTF-1 (or equivalent);
  • Instruments for diagnostics of transformers;
  • Autonomous electric generator.

Production time for the kit: 60-70 days.

Counter table

The supporting structure is used to accommodate modules and blocks. It is also the operator's workplace.

Stand type: Eurodesk. The rack is made in a 19-inch design with the ability to install equipment designed for installation in a 19-inch format. Additionally, the Eurodesk stand functions as a desktop.

Dielectric loss measurement unit

without Tangent-2000

The IDP block provides measurement of the capacitance and dielectric loss tangent of test objects at an alternating current voltage with a frequency of 50 Hz up to 10 kV within the limits provided by the Tangent-2000 meter.

The IDP block includes:

  • Preparation for insulation parameter meter Tangent-2000;
  • High-voltage switch “DIRECT-INVERSION”.

A special feature of the Tangent-2000 meter is the absence of galvanic connection between the high-potential measuring and low-potential indicator circuits, which ensures complete operational safety. Data from the measuring unit to the display module is transmitted via a radio channel. The meter also has high noise immunity.

The IDP block makes it possible to carry out measurements using “direct” and “inverse” (“inverted”) measurement schemes, which ensures the measurement of insulation parameters of objects with both isolated and grounded terminals.

Switching occurs in a high-voltage switch “DIRECT-INVERT”. The switch allows, after starting the test in the IDP mode, to switch the measurement circuit without re-switching the high-voltage conductors.

Low-voltage measurement unit BNI

The low-voltage measurement block is divided into 2 sections (“External equipment connection panel”, “Low-voltage measurement panel”) and performs the following functions:

  1. Connection of external equipment up to 2.5 kV to the test object (L1, N);
  2. Connecting measuring instruments to the test object in three-phase mode (400V/10A).

Rack for connections to BNI

The laboratory is equipped with a free-standing rack for connecting cables to the BNI unit in the high-voltage compartment.

The rack contains connectors for connecting low-voltage test cables and external power supply to a three-phase autotransformer. All low-voltage test cables are protected by 10A fuse links against exceeding the maximum current and voltage of 400V. Fuse links are grouped near the corresponding connectors.

Cable drum and cable system

The system is made in the form of cable drums on a steel frame with a braking device. The system includes the following cable reels:

  • Drum with high-voltage shielded cable for testing with rectified voltage up to 70 kV – 30 m;
  • Drum with network cable – 30m;
  • Drum with working grounding cable 10mm2 –30m;
  • Drum with protective grounding cable 16mm2 (with current collection clips) – 30m;
  • Drum with wire for testing with alternating voltage of industrial frequency - 30 m (installed on a dielectric stand, with the ability to test without completely unwinding the wire);
  • Coil with control grounding wire – 25m;
  • Drum with a flexible cable for supplying three-phase power to the low-voltage measurement unit - 30 m;
  • Drum “VP Cable” for IDP Block – 1 pc.;
  • Drum “Cable Cx” for IDP Block – 1 pc.;
  • Drum “Cable E” for IDP Block - 1 pc.;
  • Drum with flexible 4-core cable for low-voltage measurements with alligator clips - 2x30m;
